Paternoster was an Austrian underground progressive rock band formed in Vienna in the early 1970s. Inspired by various influences, the band existed for approximately two years and disbanded shortly after releasing their self-titled album in 1971, which sold only about 270 copies. An original copy of the album was sold for around $8,000 on eBay in September 2015. Paternoster has made a comeback on a couple of occasions in later years.
