Patrice Sciortino was a French composer and musician, born on July 26, 1922, in Paris. He received classical training as a pianist and composed several ballets and orchestral works. However, he is primarily recognized for his experimental music, which he began creating after an internship at the GRM. Since 1967, his work has been featured on library LPs, often incorporating prepared instruments, percussion, and electronic manipulations. Sciortino passed away on January 19, 2022, in Couches.
