Patti Dahlstrom is an American singer, songwriter, and teacher, born on March 24, 1947, in Houston, Texas. While her own albums did not achieve commercial success, she is known for her songwriting, with notable recognition for Helen Reddy's rendition of her song "Emotion," which became a #22 hit on the Billboard chart in 1974.
