Paul Brown is a talented pop, soul, R&B, and jazz producer, guitarist, and engineer based in Sherman Oaks, CA. Born on July 8, 1956, in Tarzana, Los Angeles, he comes from a musical background, as his mother sang with renowned artists like Mel Tormé, Frank Sinatra, and Elvis Presley. Brown began his musical journey at the age of five by playing drums and picked up his first guitar at seven. During high school, he played in various bands and started working as an assistant engineer in a studio at the age of 15. After studying music and math at the University of Oregon, he returned to Los Angeles, where he gained recognition for producing, composing, and engineering for a diverse range of artists in the R&B, pop, and contemporary jazz genres. Notably, he should not be confused with the keyboardist known as 'Brother Paul Brown,' as the two often collaborate.
