Paul Bryant was an Australian recording and mastering engineer, active from 1976 to 2011. He operated under the name "Paul Bryant Mastering" from 1995 to 2011. His work is often identified by the initials "PB" etched in the runouts, typically accompanied by identifiers such as "AMM" or "EMIDISC." When crediting his work, it should be noted as "Lacquer Cut By" along with the appropriate ANV, unless the signature appears alongside DMM, in which case it should be credited as "Direct Metal Mastering By." It is important to note that until 1980, EMI mastering engineers were restricted from etching anything other than matrix numbers in the 'deadwax.'
