Paul Whiteman was an American bandleader and orchestral director, born on March 28, 1890, in Denver, Colorado. He passed away on December 29, 1967, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Whiteman led some of the most popular dance bands in the United States during the 1920s and was often referred to as the "King Of Jazz," a title that reflected his significant earnings during that era.
