**Bio:** Real Name: Pauly Paps Born in Brooklyn, New York, Paulie Papers grew up in Bed-Stuy. His journey into the world of rap began after the tragic death of his best friend, Mataz Pell, in 1992. Mataz was one of the best rappers in their neighborhood, and his passing inspired Paulie to pursue a career in music to fulfill his friend's dream. In addition to being a rapper, Paulie is the CEO of his own record company, DmD Ent, and also runs a publishing company. He has assembled a multi-producer production team to support his musical endeavors. Paulie Papers is recognized as hip-hop music's next big thing and has engaged in lyrical battles with some of the industry's top M.C.s and producers, including the Lost Boyz, Red Cafe, Easy Mo Bee, Clark Kent, and 50 Cent. In 1995, he achieved notable success with his #1 single "Brooklyn Representative," which topped the charts in California for two weeks.
