Peaches & Herb is a soul, funk, and disco vocal duo formed in 1965 in Washington, D.C., USA. The group consists of Herb Fame, born on October 1, 1942, and Francine "Peaches" Hurd Barker, who was born on April 28, 1947, and passed away on August 13, 2005. Herb Fame has been a consistent member of Peaches & Herb since its inception, while the role of "Peaches" has been filled by six different women over the years.
