Pedro Santos, born on October 2, 1919, in Rio de Janeiro, was a Brazilian musician known for his work as a percussionist, composer, and inventor of unique percussion instruments, including the electronic bamboo and mouth berimbau. He was also recognized by his heteronym, Pedro Sorongo, and was known as Pedro da Lua. Pedro Santos passed away on February 23, 1993.
