Pegboy is a punk rock band from Chicago, IL, formed in 1990 by Larry Damore (vocals and occasional guitar), John Haggerty (guitar), Steve Saylors (bass), and Joe Haggerty (drums). The band's debut release, a 12" EP titled "Three Chord Monte," came out the same year and marked the first release for an offshoot of Touch And Go Records. Their first LP, "Strong Reaction," was released the following year and became one of the most popular records in the Touch And Go/Quarterstick catalog. Afterwards, Saylors had to leave the band due to a conflict between his job and touring. Steve Albini played bass on the 1993 "Fore" EP, and former bassist Pierre Kezdy later joined the group. This lineup released two LPs: "Earwig" in 1994 and "Cha-Cha Damore" in 1997, which remains the last recorded material from the band. In the early 2000s, rumors of the band's split circulated, but they continued to make occasional live appearances in Chicago throughout the decade, including a performance at Touch And Go's 25th Anniversary Party in 2006. In 2007, Pierre Kezdy rejoined Naked Raygun, leading to the arrival of "Skinny" Mike Thompson as his replacement in Pegboy.
