Pekka Streng (1948-1975) was a Finnish singer-songwriter who gained cult status in Finland. He began his career with appearances in various theatre and radio projects before releasing two solo albums. His music blended psychedelic folk and progressive rock, featuring mystic lyrics. Streng's first album included collaborations with other artists, while his second album showcased some of Finland's leading jazz musicians. He had plans for a third album inspired by The Lord of the Rings, but tragically passed away from cancer in April 1975 before he could record it.
