Pentagon is a musical unit formed in 1999, consisting of Kōichi Yamazaki and Mitsukuni Murayama, who were active at Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE). They gained recognition both in Japan and abroad with their singles "So Special" and "Move On," released on UK Frontline Records. In the realm of game music, they primarily provide compositions under each other's names for Konami's beatmania series. As Pentagon, they contributed to SCE titles by arranging music for "Gran Turismo 3 A-spec" and composing and arranging for "ICO" alongside Michiru Oshima.
