Real Name is a soul group that originated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, during the 1960s. Formed in 1966, the group enjoyed a presence in the music scene until their disbandment in 1985. Their lineup evolved over the years, with notable members including Frankie Brunson, David Thompson, Darnell Jordan, Johnnie Hightower, and Valerie Brown in the early 1970s. From 1974 to 1983, the group featured Frankie Brunson, Dave Thompson, Guy Fiske, and Roger Andrews. The final lineup from 1984 to 1985 included Frank Brunson, Marc Reed, Clifton Gamble, David Thomson, Johnnie Hightower, and Bill Rodgers.
