Real Name is a soul group that originated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was active from the 1960s to the 1980s. Formed in 1966, the group experienced various line-ups throughout its existence before disbanding in 1985. The line-up from 1971 to 1973 included Frankie Brunson, David Thompson, Darnell Jordan, Johnnie Hightower, Stanley Thomas, Valerie Brown, and Marc Reed. From 1974 to 1983, the members were Frankie Brunson, Dave Thompson, Guy Fiske, and Roger Andrews. The final line-up from 1984 to 1985 consisted of Frank Brunson, Marc Reed, Clifton Gamble, David Thomson, Johnnie Hightower, and Bill Rodgers.
