Real Name is a soul group that originated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was active from the 1960s to the 1980s. The group was formed in 1966 and disbanded in 1985. Throughout its existence, the group had several line-ups. From 1971 to 1973, the members included Frankie Brunson, David Thompson, Darnell Jordan, Johnnie Hightower, Stanley Thomas, Valerie Brown, and Marc Reed. The line-up changed from 1974 to 1983, featuring Frankie Brunson, Dave Thompson, Guy Fiske, and Roger Andrews. The final line-up from 1984 to 1985 consisted of Frank Brunson, Marc Reed, Clifton Gamble, David Thomson, Johnnie Hightower, and Bill Rodgers.
