Per Erik Hallin is a Swedish pianist, songwriter, and singer, born on January 7, 1950, in Stockholm. He is internationally recognized as Pete Hallin, a name he used during his two years performing with Elvis Presley. Hallin is the brother of a guitarist who has played with notable Swedish artists like Magnus Uggla and Neon Rose. Throughout his career, Hallin has primarily focused on the Christian music scene and has worked as a studio musician for many Swedish pop artists, especially in the 1970s. He has collaborated with international artists such as Andraé Crouch, Joseph Williams, Alex Acuña, and Nathan East, as well as Swedish musicians like Carola Häggkvist, Ted Gärdestad, Ulf Lundell, Ola Magnell, Anders Widmark, Harpo, Bernt Staf, John Holm, Ingemar Olsson, and Frank Ådahl. Hallin has also written songs for other artists, including "What a Joy," performed by Alice Babs. He participated in the Swedish Melodifestivalen with his own songs in 1984 and 1985 and provided the voice for Kalle Anka (Donald Duck) in Swedish dubbings from 1983 to 1991.
