Perfume Tree was a group of disc jockeys from Vancouver, Canada, known for their live performances that blended elements of Throbbing Gristle's industrial music, dub, and hip hop. The core members, Pete Lutwyche (samples, guitar, beats), Jane Tilley (vocals, guitar), and Bruce Turpin (mix, samples), came together in 1991 and adopted the name Perfume Tree. The group disbanded in December 1999. Following the breakup, Tilley and Lutwyche formed a new group called Veloce with Ian MacLachlan.
