Persian is a prolific underground producer known for his innovative work in Breakbeat, Jungle, Drum & Bass, and UK Garage, utilizing the Commodore Amiga with just 2 megabytes of RAM. Influenced by sound systems, pirate radio, electro/breakdance, rare grooves, Mixmaster Max, and early hip-hop subcultures, he has made a significant impact on the electronic music scene. Under various monikers, including Persian Prince, Persian, and Artist Formally Known As P.P., he has transformed obscure tracks like "Omid A Man," blending evocative Middle Eastern sounds with sound system bass culture. In 1992, he made history as the first Iranian electronic artist from the West with his groundbreaking hardcore jungle breakbeat track "Desertism," which fused Eastern and Western cultures. A true underground legend, Persian can adapt to any music style, producing door-rattling bass to match. His music continues to be released through J. Robinson, WhoDemSound, and Meditator Music. Currently, he is expanding his creative repertoire into the visual arts, though the specifics of this endeavor remain to be revealed.
