Peruquois is a composer and lyricist known for her passionate exploration of the human experience and the quest for love and awakening. Originally trained in jazz at the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts, she later integrated influences from Native American, Indian classical, Middle Eastern, and electronic music into her unique sound, often referred to as "ear watering." Since 1997, she has been touring globally, earning the title of "Vocal Goddess" and embodying the feminine essence of sound. She is the creator of transformative practices such as "Vocal Yoga" and "Vocal Tantra," which serve as the foundation for her impactful workshops. Peruquois was born in Australia into a musical family and became deeply involved in the jazz scene in Sydney during the early 1990s. After leaving jazz, she dedicated herself to exploring cultural music traditions that emphasize the healing power of the voice. Her journey includes an 11-year apprenticeship with Native American Elder John Twobirds in New Mexico, as well as training with Hindustani classical vocalists Sunanda Sharma and Ritesh Mishra in Delhi, India.
