Pescado Rabioso, meaning "Rabid Fish," is an influential Argentine rock band formed after the breakup of another group, seeking heavier sounds. In 1971, they paired up with notable musicians and released their first album, Desatormentándonos, in 1972, which featured a new member who joined during the recording. Bocón Frascino initially left the band and was replaced by another musician who transitioned from a different group. In 1973, they released Pescado 2, a double LP accompanied by a 52-page booklet. However, creative differences with frontman Luis Alberto Spinetta led to the departure of Lebón, Amaya, and Cutaia. Later that year, Spinetta would release Artaud, in honor of the French poet Antonin Artaud. Although Pescado Rabioso was active from 1971 to 1973, they left a significant mark on the Argentine rock scene and are often regarded as one of the foundational bands of the genre. The band released three LPs, three singles, and one compilation after their breakup.
