Pet Shop Boys are an English musical duo formed in London in 1981, consisting of Neil Tennant (main vocals, keyboards, occasional guitar) and Chris Lowe (keyboards, occasional vocals). They are recognized as the most successful duo in UK music history by The Guinness Book of Records. In the early 90s, they ran their own labels and, more recently, entered into a new arrangement after officially leaving their previous label in March 2013, after 28 years. This marked the beginning of a new chapter for the duo with their 12th studio album, which would be their first release on their own music imprint.
