Peter Blegvad is an American musician, singer-songwriter, and cartoonist born on August 14, 1951, in New York City. He is the son of Lenore, a children's book author, and an illustrator, and has a brother. Throughout his career, he has been a part of several bands, including Slapp Happy (1972-74), Faust (1973), Slapp Happy/Henry Cow (1974-75), Kew.Rhone (1976), The Lodge (1982-88), and the Golden Palominos (1985-87).
