Peter Bursch is a German guitarist and vocalist, born on April 14, 1949, in Duisburg. He learned to play guitar as a boy scout and began his musical journey as a busker. From 1966 to 1968, he performed protest songs with a band called "Les Autres." At the end of 1968, the band merged with other musicians to form a Folk Rock band, where Bursch became one of the masterminds alongside other members. They wrote songs for their first album, released in 1971, after moving to a commune in Duisburg. Following a period when some bandmates traveled to India in 1973, Bursch and the other mastermind reformed the band with a new lineup, leading to the recording of two more albums. In the late 1970s, Bursch also worked as a studio guitarist. In the early 1980s, he recorded his first solo works and in 1985, he reunited with Bröselmaschine to record another album. After a 20-year hiatus, the band was reactivated by Bursch in 2005. Additionally, Bursch gained recognition as an author of guitar textbooks starting in 1975. He became a professional music teacher in 1970 and was encouraged by his students to document his teaching methods.
