Peter Eotvos was a Hungarian composer, conductor, and music teacher, born on January 2, 1944, in Székelyudvarhely, Transylvania. He studied composition in Budapest and Köln and was a member of the Stockhausen Ensemble from 1958 to 1976. Eotvos served as the musical director of the Ensemble InterContemporain from 1979 to 1991. He was married and passed away on March 24, 2024, in Budapest, Hungary.
