Peter Hammill is an English musician and recording artist, born on Bonfire Night, 5 November 1948, in Ealing, west London, UK. He is a singer/songwriter, guitarist, pianist, and producer, and is best known as a co-founder of the British progressive rock band Van Der Graaf Generator.
