Phil Clarke (1949 - 2003) was a notable figure in the music industry, born in London. He began his career as a road manager in 1975, a role he held until 1978, during which he also engaged in sound engineering. Following the breakup of the band Henry Cow, he managed another group he had connections with from the Henry Cow and Mike Westbrook Brass Band reunion. Clarke worked with Rough Trade and, in the late 1990s, freelanced for organizations like Blackheath Halls and Unknown Public, a CD journal. From June 1998 until his passing, he served as a tour and event manager for a festival. Phil Clarke passed away from a heart attack on May 21, 2003.
