Phil Cordell was a British musician and composer born on July 17, 1947, in London. He passed away on March 31, 2007. In 1966, he formed a band called Tuesday's Children, which evolved from the North London group Steve Douglas and the Challengers. The band later changed their name to The Prophets, who recorded with producer Joe Meek, although none of their work was ever released. After the departure of members Steve Douglas and Freddie Fields, the remaining members reformed the band as Tuesdays Children.
