Phil France is a composer, bassist, and producer originally from West Yorkshire and currently residing in Manchester. He is best known for his collaboration with Jason Swinscoe in the Cinematic Orchestra. In 2013, France released his debut solo album, The Swimmer, an emotive and epic record influenced by the second wave of film composers. Five years later, he followed up with Circle, an enigmatically titled album that represents a personal journey for the artist and serves as an extension of the work he began on The Swimmer.
