Phil Pratt, born in 1950 in Kingston, Jamaica, is a significant reggae producer known for his contributions during the rocksteady era at Studio One. He later moved on to establish a sublabel where he promoted emerging artists. Throughout the 1970s, Pratt collaborated with key figures in reggae, including notable singers and deejays. In the early 1980s, he relocated to London and eventually left the music business to open a restaurant as the digital dancehall era emerged. Many of his productions have been reissued through various labels.
