Philip Bailey is a singer and songwriter, born on May 8, 1951, in Denver, Colorado. He has been one of the leaders of Earth, Wind & Fire since 1971 and has also been active as a solo artist since 1982, recording gospel, R&B, and pop hits, including the 1984 duet "Easy Lover." In 2010, he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
