Phil Pratt, born in 1950 in Kingston, Jamaica, is a significant reggae producer known for his contributions during the rocksteady era at Studio One. He later established a sublabel where he promoted young talent, collaborating with key artists of the 1970s, including notable singers and deejays. In the early 1980s, Pratt relocated to London, and with the onset of the digital dancehall era, he decided to leave the music business and opened a restaurant. Many of his productions have since been reissued through various labels, including a French label.
