Photek, born Rupert Parkes on September 6, 1971, in St Albans, England, is a prominent UK producer and musician. Since the early nineties, he has been a key figure in the UK jungle scene and is widely recognized for his contributions to the development of the "intelligent" drum & bass genre. He is associated with Ipswich from that era.
