Pink Turns Blue is a band that originated in Cologne, Germany, in 1985, founded by Mic Jogwer, Thomas Elbern, and later Marcus Giltjes. The group disbanded in 1994 but reunited for a concert at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig, Germany, in 2004, leading to a proper reformation. The first line-up included Mic Jogwer (vocals, guitar, bass), Thomas Elbern (guitar, vocals, 1985-87), and Marcus Giltjes (drums, samples, sound effects, 1986–1990). Other members over the years included Ruebi Walter (bass, keyboards, 1987-94, 2011-21), Reinhold Schobert (drums, 1990–91), Louis Pavlou (drums, guitar, keyboards, 1992–95, 2003-07), Andreas Plappert (drums, 2007-14), Paul Richter (drums, 2016-present), Brigid Anderson (keyboards, vocals), Reinhold "Reini" Walter (bass), and Luca Sammuri (bass, 2021-present).
