Pino Calvi was a composer, pianist, and conductor, born in 1930 in Voghera and passed away in 1989 in Palazzina di Castana. He participated in the Sanremo Festival in 1957 with his composition "Un sogno di cristallo," in 1962 with "L'ombrellone," and in 1963 with "Non sapevo." Calvi conducted the orchestra at the festivals in 1963, 1964, and 1966. He composed numerous soundtracks for Italian movies and for the Italian TV station RAI, conducting the RAI Orchestra during its first Italian tour in 1974.
