Pintura Fresca is an Argentinian rock band that was formed in the late 1960s. The original lineup included Pelayo Andrés "Bocho" Díaz Mórtola (vocals), Rodolfo Tecera (guitar), Juan Manuel Corradi (vocals, guitar, bass), Alberto Antonucci (keyboards, later replaced by Aquiles Roggero), Carlos Maurizio (guitar, later replaced by Luis Alberto Posse), and Andrés Guayta (drums). The band had previously been involved in other groups such as 'The Bestias Peludas' and 'The Killings'. Pintura Fresca was known for performing covers of songs from other artists, including 'Tiritando' by Donald and 'El extraño del pelo largo' by La Joven Guardia, which translates to 'The Stranger with Long Long Hair'. Tragically, the band split after a car crash in September 1973, which resulted in the deaths of three members. In 1999, Aquiles, Carlos Maurizio, and Bocho reunited to reform the band.
