Piotr Figiel was a Polish composer, arranger, pianist, organist, and vocalist, born on April 13, 1940, in Warszawa. He debuted as a pianist in 1963 and composed his first song in 1964. From 1971, he led his own musical group focused primarily on instrumental music. Figiel began creating music for film in 1973 and expanded his work to theater in 1974, the same year he founded a studio orchestra. Throughout his career, he collaborated with many stars of the Polish show business. He passed away on December 22, 2011. He was also the brother of another notable figure.
