Pitchshifter is a Nottingham-based band known for their unique blend of strum and bass noise. They began their career in 1989, initially playing in an industrial metal style reminiscent of Godflesh, which they referred to as "Death Industrial." By the mid-1990s, Pitchshifter evolved their sound to incorporate influences from Punk, Drum n Bass, Hip-Hop, and Techno. With thousands of shows under their belt, they have toured the world and garnered a fanatically loyal fanbase. The band is known for its strong political agenda, which complements rather than detracts from their music.
