Placebo is a British alternative rock band formed in London in 1994. Known for their androgynous image and angst-fueled musical content, they have garnered a dedicated following over the years. The band has had various touring members contributing to their sound, including musicians on bass, keyboards, guitar, violin, and drums, among others, from 1996 to the present. Their fan club was active from 1998 to 2003.
