Emile Facey, known by his stage name Plant43, is a London-based musician inspired by Kraftwerk and the Street Sounds hip-hop compilations from the early 1980s. His passion for electro music led him to promote events in London starting in 1998, allowing him to connect with other producers and DJs both in the UK and internationally. This journey culminated in the establishment of his first bedroom studio, and after several years of learning and perfecting his craft, Plant43 released his debut vinyl in 2006 on Ai Records. Since then, he has produced over 100 tracks for esteemed labels such as Frustrated Funk, CPU, Semantica, Shipwrec, AC Records, Bleep43 Recordings, Cultivated Electronics, and Trust. In addition to his music career, Emile is a graphic designer and illustrator, and he co-founded bleep43.com, a platform dedicated to celebrating electronic music. Since 2002, he has performed live with notable artists including DJ Stingray, ERP/Convextion, Surgeon, DJ Overdose, and Urban Tribe.
