Plantoid is a band formed by Chloe Spence and Tom Coyne, who met while studying music at Lincoln College during their teens. United by a passion for eclectic psychedelic rock and emotionally charged songwriting, they initially named the band Mangö and began performing locally with drummer Louis Bradshaw, a longtime friend of Tom's. After gaining local recognition, the trio moved to Brighton and welcomed bassist Bernardo Larisch, transforming into a four-piece and rebranding as Plantoid. The band delves into a diverse range of influences, from Miles Davis and Todd Rundgren to Jeff Buckley, while also exploring experimental sounds that give them a distinctive edge.
