Poly Styrene was a UK vocalist and songwriter, best known as the founder of a punk band in 1976. She was born on July 3, 1957, and passed away on April 25, 2011. Styrene left the band in 1979 but later reformed it for an album in 1995 and performed at a gig in 2008.
