Pony Tail is a Japanese folk/pop group that was formed in 1973 under the name Row (ロウ). They renamed themselves Pony Tail in 1975. Initially a quartet, the group saw two of its original four members leave after the release of their first single in 1975. One of the departing members, 相馬淳子, went on to pursue a solo career. The remaining duo of Pony Tail ultimately dissolved in April 1977.
