M.O.P. (short for Mash Out Posse) is an American hip-hop duo formed by rappers Lil' Fame and Billy Danze. Their debut single, "How About Some Hardcore," gained popularity and led to the release of their first album, "To The Death," in the spring of 1994. Two years later, they released "Firing Squad." Their third album, "First Family 4 Life," came out in March 1998, followed by "Warriorz" two years later. The success of "Warriorz" helped raise M.O.P.'s profile and garnered mainstream radio attention. However, label issues left the duo adrift around 2002 until they were picked up by Roc-a-Fella Records and appeared on Jay-Z's "The Blueprint: The Gift & the Curse." Despite staying active by recording and making appearances on soundtracks, Roc-a-Fella did not release a full-length album from M.O.P., and the duo parted ways with the label in 2005. They then signed with another label and released the compilation "M.O.P. Salutes The St. Marxmen." M.O.P. next released "Ghetto Warfare," which had been recorded and shelved by Roc-a-Fella, in 2006. In 2008, they released "The Legends Underground, Vol. 5" and announced the end of their deal with G Unit Records. In 2009, M.O.P.
