Popol Vuh was a pioneering band in the electronic Krautrock scene, founded by (1944-2001). Their debut album, "Affenstunde," released in 1970, marked an early exploration into electronic music, prominently featuring the Moog synthesizer alongside extensive percussion. In 1971, they released "In Den Gärten Pharaos," which blended electronic and organ sounds, resulting in an intense, almost religious ambient music experience. Starting with "Hosianna Mantra" in 1972, Popol Vuh moved away from electronic elements to develop a distinctive avant-garde progressive rock style.
