Sam Wenc (b. 1990; Western Massachusetts) is a composer and interdisciplinary artist known for his work with sound, text, and video. As a multi-instrumentalist, he incorporates guitar, pedal steel guitar, vibraphone, electronics, field recordings, and found objects into his compositions. His modal, process-based works aim to challenge and blur the boundaries of what is considered "folk music."
