Potatohead People is a Canadian hip hop/electronic producer duo based in Vancouver, BC, consisting of Nick Wisdom and AstroLogical. The two first met in a community baseball league during their early high school years and bonded over their shared admiration for J Dilla and Madlib. In 2008, they began collaborating within the hip hop collective Elekwent Folk, and shortly after, they formed Potatohead People to focus on creating innovative instrumental music. Their friendship with Illa J, the younger brother of the late J Dilla, led to the production of a full-length LP for him, which was released by Bastard Jazz in late 2015.
