Praise Space Electric (PSE) is a musical group formed in Bristol in 1989 by Sam Space and Jesse Electric, later joined by Toby Praise, creating a powerful trio dedicated to performing progressively rock-inspired music with a spiritual aim for the electric church. Their work is largely improvisational and draws inspiration from the holy trinity. The band's first album was recorded in 1990 during a ten-day retreat in a Welsh cottage and features notable tracks such as "Black Rock," a ten-minute trance-like journey into Armageddon, and "All My Love," a tender yet apocalyptic love song. PSE toured extensively from 1990 to 1995, often alongside the Moonflowers, as all members were also part of that group. In 1992, they released the "Cosmic Funky Explosion EP" (Pop God), an ambitious foray into soft psychedelic funk, though it did not achieve the same success as their groundbreaking 1993 EP, "Diggin at the Dig In" (Pop God). This record, created with members of the Bristol-based Latin trip-hop group Up, Bustle and Out, featured dance looped mixes and gained international play by DJs. By 1993, PSE had expanded to a nine-piece group, incorporating two drum kits, three additional vocalists, a synth wizard (Dieter Hertwig), and a Hammond organist (Dr. Mark Underhill), all contributing to their evolving sound. The band continued to tour until the Moon
