Preservation is a seasoned DJ and producer with over 20 years of experience, known for his diverse projects and collaborations. As the tour DJ for Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def), he has performed worldwide. His production credits include work with notable artists such as Ka, billy woods, Mach-Hommy, RZA, GZA, Raekwon, U-God, MF Doom, Sean Price, KRS-One, Lord Jamar, Ed O.G., Roc Marciano, Your Old Droog, Jean Grae, Aesop Rock, Chris Dave, K'naan, Jim Jarmusch, and Sonic Sum. One of his standout projects is the critically acclaimed album "Days with Dr. Yen Lo," a collaboration with Brownsville MC Ka, which ranked #9 on Rolling Stone's Best Hip-Hop Albums of 2015. Preservation's production work with Yasiin Bey includes contributions to the Grammy-nominated album "The Ecstatic," featuring tracks like "Quiet Dog Bite Hard," "Priority," and "No hay nada mas," as well as five tracks on "True Magic." Additionally, he remixed 15 tracks for "The Ecstatic" and co-wrote the global hit "Wavin' Flag" by K’naan.
