The Preservation Hall Jazz Band is a renowned ensemble named after the iconic music venue in New Orleans’ French Quarter, established in 1961 by Allan and Sandra Jaffe. With a mission to nurture and perpetuate the art form of New Orleans Jazz, the band has traveled worldwide, sharing their passion for this unique musical heritage. The current lineup includes Mark Braud on trumpet and vocals, Charlie Gabriel on clarinet and vocals, Freddie Lonzo on trombone, Rickie Monie on piano, Clint Maedgen on tenor saxophone and vocals, Ben Jaffe as Creative Director and tuba player, Ronell Johnson on tuba, and Joe Lastie, Jr. on drums. Additionally, other musicians may join the band, including Frank Demond on trombone, Shannon Powell on percussion, Leroy Jones on trumpet, Carl LeBlanc on banjo, Darryl Adams on saxophone, Elliot "Stackman" Callier on saxophone, and David Silverman on tuba.
