Prince Far I, born on March 23, 1945, in Spanish Town, Jamaica, was a renowned Jamaican deejay known for his unique style and powerful voice. He ran his own label and was famously referred to as "The Voice of Thunder." Tragically, he was shot to death in his home in Kingston on September 15, 1983, at the age of 38. There is some discrepancy regarding his birth date and date of death, as his grave stone indicates March 25, 1945, for his birth and September 8, 1983, for his passing. It is possible that he died on September 8, 1983, and was buried a week later.
